Flak Bait's First Pilot
Photograph & information contributed by his
son, Tom Farrell

| Tom Farrell shares... "My father, Jim 'Boss' Farrell was the original pilot of Flak Bait. He named the plane and he designed the nose art. The actual art work was done by Ted Simonitis, the resident artist of the 322nd BG. My father named the plane after a name he had for his brother's dog, Boots. My father called Boots, 'Flea Bait'.
